Garage Door Services

What garage door services do you offer?

Archway provides repair, installation, replacement, and maintenance for residential garage doors and openers, including springs, cables, rollers, tracks, sensors, and smart-opener upgrades.

What brands do you work with?

We service and install leading brands such as LiftMaster, Genie, Chamberlain, Clopay, Amarr, C.H.I., Wayne Dalton, and others.

Do you offer same-day repairs?

When scheduling allows, we accommodate same-day service in many areas. Otherwise, we book the next available weekday appointment.

Can you repair my garage door opener or should I replace it?

We diagnose first and repair when practical. If parts are obsolete or the motor is failing, we’ll recommend a reliable smart-opener replacement.

What styles of garage doors can you install?

Traditional, carriage, and modern designs in steel, wood, glass, and composite — including insulated options. See Design Your Door to explore styles, windows, and finishes.

Maintenance & Safety

How often should my garage door be serviced?

At least once per year for most homes. Heavy-use doors or harsh environments may benefit from twice-yearly tune-ups.

My garage door is stuck or off track — what should I do?

Stop using it and do not force it. Call Archway to safely realign tracks, repair rollers, or resolve binding before more damage occurs.

Is it safe to replace springs myself?

No. Springs are under high tension and can cause severe injury. Always use a trained technician for spring repair or replacement.

How do I reduce garage door noise?

Regular lubrication, hardware tightening, and new rollers or hinges can significantly quiet operation. A tune-up addresses most noise issues.

What are the most common repair issues you see?

Broken springs, frayed cables, off-track doors, sensor misalignment, worn rollers, and opener logic-board or gear failures.

Customer Education

How do I know if a spring is broken?

You may hear a loud snap, see a gap in the torsion spring, or find the door won’t open even though the opener runs. Do not attempt to lift or repair it — call a professional.

How long do garage doors typically last?

With quality installation and maintenance, most residential doors last 15–25 years. Openers typically last 10–15 years, depending on use and environment.

Can you replace a single damaged panel?

Often, yes — if the door model is current and the remaining sections are in good condition. We’ll assess whether panel-only replacement is feasible.

Can you convert a manual door to automatic?

Yes. We can add a motorized opener (and Wi-Fi controls) to most properly balanced doors.

Do you install smart garage door openers?

Yes. We install Wi-Fi–enabled openers that work with apps such as myQ for remote monitoring and control.

What routine maintenance can I do myself?

Keep tracks clean, visually check photo-eyes for alignment/obstructions, and watch for loose hardware. Leave any spring/cable adjustments to a professional.
